During this “Introductory training to respiratory protective equipment” the participants learn everything that is needed to make a responsible choice regarding the use of respiratory protective equipment.

AimTo allow persons responsible for the selection, purchasing, advice and /or use of respiratory protective equipment to acquire sufficient background knowledge so that they can make the right decisions during their work with regard to the use of respiratory protective equipment.
For whom?For persons who want to delve into respiratory protection and /or play an advisory role in this regard within the organization in which they work. The training is also a must for people who are going to follow the face-fit test.
Entry RequirementsNone, but having followed a course in safety management is a plus.

Working with independent respiratory protection basic or repetition (also SOG)

Working with independent respiratory protection is seen as a risky task, which requires specific knowledge and skills.
By following the training “Working with independent breathing apparatus and systems” the student knows the theoretical background and he / she is practiced through simulations for the safe and responsible use of independent respiratory protection in daily practice.

AimAfter following this training, the student can use an independent breathing apparatus or system in a safe and responsible manner, check for functionality and know the possibilities and limitations during use..
For whom?Persons working in environments where the use of independent breathing air is necessary.
Entry requirements
  • The student must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid medical certificate of fitness 1)
  • The student must be smoothly shaved and must not wear obstructing jewelry
  • Students who participate in the refresher training must already be in the possesion of the “Working with independent respiratory protection “.

1) It is the responsibility of the client (employer) that the student has a statement or note that shows that the holder is medically suitable for working with independent respiratory protection. The suitability for working with independent respiratory protection is necessary both during the training and the exam.

Dräger exam

ExamThe theory exam consists of multiple choice questions. The practical exam is conducted in pairs. Both the theoretical and the practical exam must be completed with a sufficient result to pass.
CertificateEvery student who has passed the exam receives a digital certificate is his / her profile and a pass by mail. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
Certificate registrationCertificates are registered in the PlusPort Academy, so that the student receives a call for renewal in time.
