Spirit is here for youngsters and families who are missing the connection with society. We look at how every person is and help them without value judgement. We see difference, but act based on respect and equality. Spirit wants to reflect the society that we are intrinsically pursuing: an inclusive, pluriform but hospitable society in which everyone participates and counts, and in which people stand up for each other. Children, young people and their parents are welcome to Spirit, regardless of their situation or background. With heart and soul, we make sure that they grow up safely and lovingly, gain opportunities, participate, and develop themselves. We are there even if the question is complex and the situation seems desperate. We think in opportunities and we act from the opportunities we see together with the family.

The direct reason to look for a Learning Management System was the demand from the board of Directors, which wanted information regarding compulsory training. It took us weeks then to provide a good list, with the right information, to be able to deliver. We prepared based on a business case, we then started looking for an LMS with which we could make the knowledge & skills of our employees better and quicker to understand
Because I am responsible for all HR systems I have researched the different systems in the market. We have a system that goes along with its time and that is very user-friendly. After a number of presentation/demo sessions from different parties, we were really quick to say that the choice of the PlusPort Academy software was clear. Other systems were too complex, in that we had to do too many manual actions. What we also liked is that PlusPort not only developed the system itself, but they also use it to unlock and administratively handle the trainings that they put into the market. That gives a lot of confidence.
At the beginning, I took control of a lot of the implementation process. I just wanted it to run smoothly. On PlusPort’s suggestion, we started with an Inventarization. We had a lot of information to properly set up within the LMS. The knowledge and experience of the PlusPort consultants have helped us tremendously in leading our employees towards the optimal completion of their projects. We also found the “on-the-job” training by the consultants very pleasant; that has worked well for us. Through the use of the Plus Port Academy, we have been able to optimise and improve our entire administrative process.
Still very satisfied
I am still very satisfied with the collaboration with PlusPort. There are a lot of possibilities. Good ideas for improvements are discussed and then also developed. This indicates that PlusPort is progressing with the time. The contact is very pleasant to this day. Their efficient helpdesk is always reachable. A quick response is always given. We do not yet use all available functionalities, but we do want to start implementing them. An example of this is the on-boarding process. We want to incorporate this into the LMS, so that even with just a glance we always have insight into the ongoing learning activities of the new employees.
In the meantime there is also a separate portal for foster parents. They are not an employee but they are connected to Spirit and naturally also follow courses and trainings. This works well through the LMS of PlusPort. Some trainings are compulsory, others are offered to ensure that foster parents can develop themselves.
